    T. F. Green State Airport (PVD): Approximate driving time is 45 minutes and distance is 31 miles.

    Logan International Airport (BOS): Approximate driving time is 1 hour and 30 minutes and distance is 75 miles.

    Driving directions from PVD: Take I-95 south and take Exit 9 onto Rte 4. Follow signs to the Newport Bridge and take Exit 238. Turn right at at the exit (Thames) and left on Touro, which becomes Bellevue. The hotel is on the right.

    Driving directions from BOS: Take the Sumner tunnel (pay toll) and take I-93 south. Exit to Rte 24 south, then Rte 114, which becomes Main Rd. Bear right to Broadway, which becomes Washington Sq. Turn left on Touro, which becomes Bellevue. The hotel is on the right.

    Getting there: From T. F. Green airport, there is a shuttle service which serves several hotels ($16–$25). Taxis are also available. There is no shuttle service from Logan airport, and a cab ride is fairly expensive. The best way to get to the hotel from Logan is to rent a car. (Fees subject to change without notice.)

    Getting around: Shops, restaurants, and attractions surround the hotel, which is 4 blocks from Newport Harbor and downtown Newport. This waterfront area is easily walkable for ambulatory travelers. Taxis are available as well, and the hotel offers valet parking (for a fee). Guests wishing to explore areas beyond downtown will be best served by renting a car.

    This hotel offers 237 guestrooms in the five-story historic building and four-story Colonial wing, both with elevators. Rooms in the Colonial wing are more spacious than those in the older historic building. All guestrooms include Queen Anne and Chippendale-style mahogany furniture with English country touches. Two- and four-poster beds have pillowtop mattresses, 250-thread-count Egyptian cotton linens, and down comforters. Windows open and desks have telephones with voice mail and dial-up Internet access (fee). Complimentary newspaper delivery is offered as well.

    Top of Newport - This seasonal rooftop bar offers cocktails, sushi and shellfish, jazz and piano music, and sweeping harbor views. Open Memorial Day until Labor Day.

    Open since 1926, this red-brick hotel was originally constructed as a place to stay for guests of the wealthy settlers in the area. Notable guests such as President and Mrs. Kennedy, Dave Brubeck, and Emmylou Harris have stayed at the hotel over the years. The building is composed of the original five-story building and a four-story Colonial wing, and the entire structure was completely renovated in 2003. At this time, a full-service spa, SpaTerre, was opened as well; SpaTerre provides facial and body treatments.

    The hotel has a fitness facility with exercise equipment, a sauna, and an indoor swimming pool. One Bellevue, the hotel restaurant, offers New England cuisine with an Asian influence, and a rooftop bar offers sweeping views of the nearby harbor. A total of 22 meeting rooms are on site, all with high-speed Internet access. Downtown Newport and the harbor are 4 blocks away; valet parking is on hand.
